Mr. Kensaku Konishi is the president and CEO of India Pvt. Ltd. He has come on board the management team of Canon India after a successful and growth driven tenure as President and CEO of Canon Hong Kong Co. Ltd.
A stalwart at Canon with 29 years in the company, Mr. Kensaku Konishi joined Canon after his graduation in 1978, as a part of management team for production control and budget for copiers. Following several senior management positions in Japan, Australia and United States, he was appointed the Managing Director of Canon Marketing (Singapore) in 2001, where he was responsible for the overall management of domestic sales and marketing operations.
In 2003, Mr. Konishi was promoted to Executive Vice President when Canon Marketing (Singapore) Pvt Ltd was merged with Canon Singapore Pvt Ltd. Under his direction, Canon Singapore enjoyed double-digit domestic sales growth.
Mr. Konishi has been widely regarded for his contribution and dedication to the company and in April 2004, he was appointed president and CEO of Canon Hong Kong, with responsibility for the strategic management and direction of Canon's operations in Hong Kong.
With his devotion to improve the operation level of the company, Canon Hong Kong achieved the international award for quality, environmental awareness, health and safety management system and customer service. He was responsible for enhancing the Canon brand image by establishing the First Revolving Neon Sign in Asia and LED Lighting Wall to be part of the Symphony of Light Show in Hong Kong. Under his leadership Canon Hong Kong went to achieve its highest sales ever of HK $ 2 billion in 2006, more than a 72% increase as compared with 2003.
